Low-cost carrier EasyJet has promoted Brian Tyrrell to head of flight operations.

Having worked for the Luton-based airline since 2004, Tyrrell was most recently deputising as its chief pilot and head of aircraft operations.

He replaces Chris Hope, who recently became EasyJet's head of operations strategy and change.

Prior to joining EasyJet, Tyrrell's experience included four years as chief pilot and deputy to the director of operations at CityJet.
