UK budget carrier EasyJet passed the 60 million passenger mark for a 12 month period for the first time, after lifting passenger numbers 3.4% in May to 5.61 million passengers in May

"We are proud to be celebrating this landmark achievement of flying over 60m passengers across our network for the first time in one year," says EasyJet chief executive Carolyn McCall.

Passenger numbers across the rolling 12 months are 5.6% higher and load factor 0.7% points higher at 89.2%. Load factor for May is virtually unchanged at 88.1%.
