EasyJet to introduce six new routes from Edinburgh

EasyJet will launch services from Edinburgh to Berlin, Hamburg, Prague, Copenhagen, Reykjavik and Dubrovnik in 2013.

Additionally, the carrier will increase the number of aircraft based in Edinburgh to seven from five.

The carrier will base the first additional Airbus A319 in Edinburgh on 2 December, while the second aircraft will commence operations from March 2013.

According to Innovata schedules, EasyJet will be the sole operator between Edinburgh and Berlin, Hamburg, Reykjavik and Dubrovnik, while it will compete with Jet2 on the Edinburgh-Prague route and with BMI and Norwegian on the Edinburgh-Copenhagen route.
