EasyJet is to operate services from London Gatwick to Jersey from 30 March 2014.

The UK low-cost airline will fly a thrice-daily service on the route, using a 156-seat Airbus A319 narrowbody.

Flybe currently serves Jersey from Gatwick, but the regional carrier is to withdraw from the London airport in March 2014, having agreed in May to sell 25 slots to EasyJet.

Jersey, an island in the English Channel, becomes EasyJet's 102nd destination from Gatwick.
