EBACE 2008: Jet Aviation to offer OnAir mobile phone

Basel-based Jet Aviation is to offer its customers OnAir, the onboard mobile phone service developed by Airbus and SITA. OnAir combines an in-aircraft miniature cellular base station with an Inmarsat satcoms air-to-ground link. Passengers can use their own mobile phones in-flight. Jet Aviation will offer OnAir installations for various Bombardier, Boeing, Gulfstream, Embraer, Cessna and Excel jets. It is available as an option on Airbus ACJs.
