Embraer sees the air taxi market as a viable alternative to scheduled business air travel, and claims its Phenom 100 VLJ will, on average, be 4% more efficient than a typical narrowbody airliner. Embraer has carried out a case study on city pairings that are not directly connected but would have a viable amount of traffic, using actual aerial waypoints.
