Embraer has delivered the first Legacy 650 to Saudi Arabia, with operator FAL Aviation recently taking ownership of the jet.

"Following on from the type's introduction in Jordan and the UAE, this first Legacy 650 into Saudi Arabia is a clear endorsement of the market acceptance for our aircraft in the region," says Colin Steven, Embraer vice-president, marketing and sales, Europe, Africa and Middle East - executive jets, speaking earlier today.

Boasting a range of 3,900nm (7,220km), the Legacy 650 can fly nonstop to London or Beijing from Riyadh.

Owned by Sheik Fahad al-Athel, FAL Aviation was one of the first operators of the super midsize Legacy 600 in 2003.

"For us the Legacy 650 was the natural upgrade of the Legacy 600 to fit our needs in terms of extended range," adds Al-Athel.
