How many engineers does it take to lift a Eurocopter EC145 Stylence?
Just onebehind the controls of a very large crane. Eurocopter brought its newest "Stylence" helicopter model into the Palexpo exhibition hall yesterday in a noticeably low-tech fashion. Technicians removed two of the helicopter's four main rotor blades and proceeded to lift the EC145 variant from a flatbed truck using a crane for the short trip into the Hall 7. The manoeuvre created the illusion of a helicopter that is not only very functional, but feather light.
