EgyptAir has taken delivery of its initial Airbus A330-300, the first aircraft in its fleet to be fitted with on-board mobile communications technology for passengers.

The Rolls-Royce Trent 700-powered aircraft is configured in two classes, with a 36-seat business cabin and 265-seat economy layout. EgyptAir contracted with OnAir for in-flight mobile phone and Internet services on the new twin-jets.

EgyptAir already has seven Airbus A330-200s and three A340-200s in its long-haul fleet, plus 17 A320s.
