Embraer grows Q3 year-over-year deliveries by two aircraft

Brazilian airframer Embraer delivered a total of 46 commercial and executive aircraft during the third quarter, an increase of two jets versus the year prior.

Customers accepted a total of 28 commercial aircraft - 22 E-190s and six E-195s. During the third quarter of 2010 Embraer delivered 20 jets to commercial aircraft customers.

Embraer delivered eight Phenom 100 and nine Phenom 300 light jets during the third quarter and one Legacy business aircraft. The 18 business jets delivered in the third quarter was six fewer than the 24 delivered for the same three months in 2010.

For the first nine months of 2011 Embraer delivered 122 aircraft compared with 154 the year prior.

The company's current backlog at the end of the third quarter was valued at $16 billion compared with $15.3 billion for year-prior.

Currently, Embraer has a backlog of 248 E-Jets.
