Regional aircraft manufacturer Embraer's net second-quarter profit halved to $67.8 million on an 11% reduction in sales to $1.46 billion.
Second-quarter commercial aviation sales fell by 14% to $972 million.
The airframer delivered 35 aircraft to the commercial aviation sector, all but two of which were Embraer 170/190s, out of 56 deliveries in total.
Overall operating expenses were down by one-third to $162 million, which the manufacturer says was due to "strict control" of costs and manpower as well as productivity gains and exchange rates.
Embraer's firm order backlog comprised 340 regional aircraft on 30 June, of which 12 were ERJ-145s.
It values its overall backlog, including executive and defence segments, at $19.8 billion.
