Embraer profits sank to a $5.3 million loss in the second quarter on falling revenues, according to the company's initial earnings release.

The limited data released late on 25 July shows that revenues dropped 9% to $1.56 billion in quarter compared to last year. Earnings before interest and taxes plunged 31% to $135 million.

Net cash, meanwhile, dwindled to $58 million, or $40.2 million less than posted as of 31 March.

The company delivered 22 commercial and 29 executive jets in the second quarter.
