Embraer’s 3Q deliveries fall

Embraer delivered 44 jets during the third quarter, a nearly 23% decrease from the 57 aircraft delivered during the same three month period in 2009.

Deliveries were split between 20 to commercial airlines and 24 to business jet operators.

On the commercial side, E-190s comprised the bulk of deliveries at 11 aircraft, followed by six E-195s, and a single aircraft delivery of the ERJ-145, E-170 and E-175 variants.

Embraer delivered 16 Phenom 100 very light jets during the quarter, six Phenom 300s and two Lineage 1000s, which are based on the E-190 platform.

Through the first nine months of this year Embraer has delivered 154 aircraft - 70 to the commercial market, 83 to business jet operators and one Legacy 600 to the defence market. For the first nine months of 2009, Embraer delivered 153 aircraft.

Embraer has a firm order backlog of 249 commercial jets, with 156 of those orders for the E-190.

During the second quarter of 2010, Embraer delivered 69 aircraft.
