Emirates has added 32 Australian domestic destinations as part of a move to establish a joint network with Qantas Airways.
The Dubai-based carrier has started selling airfares to destinations including eight New South Wales locations - Albury, Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo, Port Macquarie, Sydney, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga - says Qantas.
In addition, Qantas and Emirates have unveiled the details of how the proposed partnership will benefit their frequent flyers.
Those with tier status will be recognised when flying on the joint network, and members will be able to earn and redeem points on all services with the exception of some domestic services. They will also allow lounge access in Australia, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, adds Qantas.
