Emirates will deploy Airbus A380 aircraft on its existing route between Dubai and Dallas-Fort Worth from 1 October.

The airline now operates daily on the route with Boeing 777-200 aircraft, and the upgauge will add an extra 220 seats or 83% more capacity daily, says the airport.

Dallas-Fort Worth airport has modified its Terminal D ramps and taxiways and started installing a second-storey jet bridge to accommodate the A380, it says.

Emirates is the only carrier operating non-stop between the two cities, schedules in Innovata show.
