Cessna’s updated Citation Encore+ made its first flight on 23 March from the Cedar Rapids, Iowa facility of Rockwell Collins, responsible for certificating the light business jet’s new Pro Line 21 integrated flightdeck – similar to that in the Citation CJ1+, CJ2+ and CJ3 light jets. The Encore+ has digitally controlled Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535B engines, and new interior and a 90kg (200lb) higher maximum take-off weight. Certification is set for early in the third quarter.
