Emirates is set to launch its third passenger service to Iraq with flights to Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, on 12 August.
The Gulf carrier will initially serve the route four times weekly, with frequencies increasing to daily on 1 September.
It will operate the connection with an Airbus 340-300.
Group chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum says: "Emirates has been offering a well utilised cargo service to Erbil since February 2011 and we are confident that our new passenger service will be filled in both directions."
Emirates currently runs daily passenger flights to Baghdad, as well as a four times weekly service to the southern Iraqi city of Basra.
