Ethiopian Airlines has issued a request for proposals for sale and leaseback financing covering its Boeing 737-800 aircraft deliveries, market sources indicate.
The carrier will receive two 737-800s this year, followed by three more units in 2015, Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows.
Earlier this month, the carrier requested US Export-Import Bank support to help finance its Boeing 777 aircraft deliveries.
The carrier has orders for four 777-200LR freighters with one unit delivering this year and the remaining three aircraft due in 2014, according to Ascend. The Star Alliance carrier also will receive one 777-200LR this year.
