Ethiopian to launch service to Rio and Sao Paulo

Ethiopian Airlines will launch flights to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo from 1 July.

The carrier will fly three-times per week in a circle route from Addis Ababa to Lome, Togo, next to Rio's Galeao airport, on to Sao Paulo Guarulhos and back to Lome and then Addis Ababa on a Boeing 787-8.

"Our new Brazil flights will provide efficient connections with 28 weekly flights to four destinations in China, 14 weekly flights to the two major cities in India, daily flights to Lebanon, five weekly flights to Tel Aviv and almost daily flights to 45 cities across Africa," says the carrier.

According to Innovata schedules Ethiopian Airlines will be the sole operator on the routes
