Ethiopian Airlines is to open services to the Kenyan city of Mombasa next month.

The Addis Ababa-based carrier is to begin the flights on 25 October, taking its African network to 34 destinations.

Ethiopian Airlines' reservations service shows that the flights are operated by Boeing 737 aircraft and will stop in Kilimanjaro.

But the airline points out that the new flights will enable passengers to avoid customs clearance in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.
