Etihad Airways has deployed its first three-cabin Boeing 777-300ER onto the Abu Dhabi-London route.
The new 777-300ER is configured with eight first class suites, 40 business class lie-flat seats, and 282 seats in its economy class.
Etihad Airways says that it will continue to operate four other flights to and from London using its three-class Airbus A340-600 aircraft.
"During the next 18 months, we will take delivery of seven more Boeing 777-300ERs, taking our total number of passenger 777s to 18. Six of these will be three-class, and we look forward to unveiling more routes on which they will be deployed," says Etihad Airway's president and CEO James Hogan.
