Etihad Airways will launch new nonstop service to Dallas/Fort Worth International airport from its Abu Dhabi base in December 2014.
The flights will operate three-times weekly on a Boeing 777-200LR from 3 December 2014, according to the airline.
“The United States is one of Etihad Airways' most important global markets and we are delighted to add Dallas/Fort Worth, a key US destination and hub, to our flight network, bringing the number of American cities we will serve to five by the end of 2014," says James Hogan, president and chief executive of Etihad, in a statement.
The Dallas/Fort Worth announcement comes just two months since the carrier announced new service to Los Angeles, its fourth US destination, which will begin in June 2014.
Qatar Airways announced new daily nonstop service between its Doha base and the Texas airport on a 777-200LR on 4 December.
