Middle Eastern carrier Etihad Airways is to open a second South African connection, with flights to the city of Cape Town.

Etihad already serves Johannesburg, South Africa's primary city, and the Cape Town route will be an extension of this daily flight.

It will begin operating to Cape Town on 30 September. Etihad uses Airbus A330s to serve South Africa.

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad's network includes three other African cities: Cairo, Casablanca and Khartoum.
