Etihad Airways has signed a wet-lease contract with KLM-Martinair Cargo for one Boeing 747-400ERF.
Etihad's cargo division will primarily deploy the aircraft on its new Abu Dhabi-Amsterdam service, as well as increasing capacity to Frankfurt, Hong Kong and Dhaka.
The 747-400ERF is due to enter service in late March, taking Etihad Cargo's freighter fleet to seven aircraft. It already operates two 777Fs, one 747-4F, two Airbus A330-200Fs and one A300-600F.
Etihad Cargo has one additional 777F and two A330-200s scheduled for delivery in 2013 and 2014.
Earlier this month Etihad also wet leased an A340-300 from Air France-KLM. The two carriers signed a strategic partnership that centres on codeshare agreements in October 2012.
