EADS' Eurocopter division in Germany is to design and produce passenger, cargo and service doors for the Mitsubishi Regional Jet aircraft.
The division's aircraft door business centre in Donauworth has secured a contract from the Japanese company to manufacture doors for the twin-jet.
Eurocopter Deutschland chief Wolfgang Schoder describes the agreement as a "significant success". The company has not disclosed terms of the deal.
Mitsubishi's MRJ will comprise a family of 70- to 90-seat aircraft with a four-abreast cabin.
