Ex-Air Canada chief joins Swiss board

Former Air Canada chief Montie Brewer has been appointed to the board of Lufthansa Group carrier Swiss International Air Lines, succeeding Stefan Lauer.

Brewer headed Air Canada during 2005-09, and has also undertaken senior roles at carriers including United Airlines and Northwest Airlines.

He serves on the boards of Irish flag-carrier Aer Lingus and Allegiant Travel Company.

Swiss confirms Brewer's appointment, adding that it has "secured the services of a proven and versatile airline specialist".
