FAA has selected Jacobs Engineering Group for the supply of architect and engineer design services for its EnRoute Facilities Planning and Modernization Program.
The $99 million contract includes a 60-month base period and two-year options, making the total contract nine years in duration if all options are exercised.
FAA through its EnRoute Facilities Planning and Modernization Program is upgrading and modernizing the US's critical air traffic control infrastructure to support new air traffic control technologies.
Jacobs is supplying labor, material, equipment, services and facilities to support the national airspace system, air route traffic control centers and combined enroute radar approach facilities in San Jan and Guam as well as other FAA-owned, operated or sponsored facilities.
Other elements of FAA's contract with Jacobs are strategic planning and program management, soil investigations, field survey and studies and environmental impact data collection.
