Latest AW139 sale increases AgustaWestland’s presence in India.
Andhra Pradesh State Government in India has signed a contract for an AgustaWestland AW139 medium twin helicopter. The aircraft will fly executive transport missions.
AgustaWestland says it now has 20 commercial helicopters of various types on order in India with half the aircraft already delivered to government and corporate customers. Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh states already operate AgustaWestland helicopters.
The manufacturer has also established a product support service in India and has appointed Indian company OSS Air as an official service centre to provide spares support and maintenance services for its range of commercial helicopters.
