Aviation Lease and Finance is converting its firm order for 12 Airbus A350-800s into the larger A350-900 variant. The Kuwaiti lessor ordered the A350-800 three years ago, but the -900 will be the first of the A350 family to be introduced, in 2013, and the lessor says the type is "best suited" to meet its customers' needs. A350-900s will have a higher capacity, around 40 seats more, than the -800s.
