Aircraft lessor MG Aviation finalised a deal for two more Boeing 787-9s at the Farnborough air show today.
The lessor is part of Jordache Enterprises, the Nakash family's conglomerate which includes Arkia Israeli Airlines.
Boeing says MG Aviation placed an initial order for two 787-9s in 2006 and this latest commitment gives it four unfilled 787-9 orders. Boeing did not release a delivery date for the new aircraft.
At the end of last year, long-haul low-cost carrier Norwegian signed a deal to lease a pair of 787-9s from MG Aviation for delivery in the first quarter of 2016.
"The 787-9 will be an excellent addition to our leasing portfolio, enabling us to provide our customers with exceptional range, increased capacity and superior economics," says MG Aviation chairman Joe Nakash.
