Mikhail Pogosyan, president of Russia's United Aircraft, is confident that it will secure new orders for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional aircraft over the coming months.

He anticipates netting a total of 40 commitments for the jet, with the majority from southeast Asian carriers.

Future collaboration with Chinese airframer Comac on a widebody programme - likely to be based on the Ilyushin Il-96 - will not be unveiled for another two years.

Pogosyan says: "We're evaluating what is required with Comac to evaluate the feasibility of making such a product. Let's talk about it more in 2014."
