Spanish budget carrier Vueling and Middle Eastern start-up SaudiGulf Airlines have each selected the International Aero Engines V2500 powerplant for a batch of Airbus A320-family jets.

The SelectOne engines will be fitted to 30 A320s for Vueling, following an order for the type last year from parent International Airlines Group.

SaudiGulf has also taken the V2500 for four A320s on order. The Dammam-based carrier has also signed an eight-year maintenance services agreement covering support for the powerplants, says the aero engine manufacturer.
