Oneworld carrier Finnair has entered a reciprocal codeshare with Italian airline Meridiana covering destinations in mainland Italy, Sardinia and Sicily.

The codeshare covers flights to the Sardinian cities of Cagliari and Olbia, the main Sicilian city Palermo, and Florence.

Meridiana operates to these Italian destinations from the Finnair connecting points at Amsterdam, Rome Fiumicino and Paris Charles de Gaulle.

Finnair says the agreement will also expand Meridiana's network with links to Helsinki from Rome, Milan and, during the summer season, Pisa and Venice.
