Oneworld alliance partner Finnair is to begin operating non-stop scheduled services to Miami on a seasonal basis in winter 2014.
It says the service will start on 16 December, becoming a thrice-weekly operation on 3 January 2015. The flights will continue until 21 March.
“Services to Miami with codeshare partners have always been popular, and the time is now right to offer a direct non-stop route in the winter season in addition to these services,” says Finnair chief Pekka Vauramo.
Finnair will use Airbus A340s on the Helsinki-Miami route. The flights will be part of the transatlantic joint business venture with Oneworld partners British Airways, American Airlines and Iberia.
