Airbus is launching ground tests on the first A400M in advance of a first flight that has been scheduled before the end of the year. The long-delayed programme delivered the first A400M to Airbus's in-house flight-test unit on 12 November. The A400M is considered an acquisition candidate for several Middle East militaries, including the Royal Saudi Air Force.
