The Italian army will accept its first of 60 NH Industries NH90 tactical transport helicopters during December, with activities with the type to start at its Viterbo army aviation training base early next year. The new aircraft will equip the service's Friuli Airmobile Brigade for international operations from late 2009, with first deliveries taking place more than three years behind schedule.
