Lithuanian maintenance provider FL Technics has chosen an external candidate, Zilvinas Lapinskas, to succeed departing chief executive Jonas Butautis.

Lapinskas was previously general director of the Vilnius-based facility management company City Service, the business of which is focused on central and eastern European properties. He assumed his new role at FL Technics on 6 December.

"We will successfully take the company to its next phase of growth," says Lapinskas. Meanwhile, the chairman of parent Avia Solutions Group, Gediminas Ziemelis, says that Lapinskas’s business experience – particularly in managing international teams – "continue boosting FL Technics' success worldwide".

Butautis, who is to leave at the end of year, is acting as deputy chief for the remainder of his time with the MRO provider.
