Hawker Beechcraft will relaunch the Hawker 450 midsize light business jet with a composite design and powered by an all-new engine, FlightBlogger reports today.

The Hawker 450, which was originally withdrawn from development in 2002, is likely to be formally announced at the National Business Aviation Association convention in early October.

According to FlightBlogger’s source, the five-seat jet will come equipped with the Rockwell Collins ProLine 21 avionics suite and the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535D engine.

CORRECTION: The Hawker 450 will be made from traditional materials, not composite. In addition, the Hawker 400XP will serve as platform for the new engines and avionics. All other details remain the same. FlightBlogger apologizes for any confusion.
