Fly Jamaica plans New York flights from Guyana

Fly Jamaica has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to begin service between New York John F. Kennedy and Georgetown, Guyana.

It will operate a Boeing 757-200 aircraft on the route, which it will operate on a daily basis, says the airline in its filing with the DOT.

Fly Jamaica has already received approval from authorities in Jamaica and Guyana to launch the service, it adds.

Caribbean Airlines operates five times weekly between New York and Georgetown, schedules in Innovata show.
