Sweden’s Fly Olympic is to begin scheduled services to Asmara and Mogadishu from Stockholm Arlanda and London Gatwick via Amman from 6 June.
Flights will be operated by Jordan Aviation on behalf of Fly Olympic using a Boeing 767 200 and will require regulatory approval.
“In teaming up with Jordan Aviation, we believe we have an airline partner that can provide our customers with the service and reliability that they deserve. This is a dynamic market, but this alliance should prove to be the dominant force for flights to this region,” says Fly Olympic chief executive Akis Kefala.
UK slot co-ordinator ACL confirms it has received a slot request from Jordan Aviation for one flight a week at Gatwick and is in discussions over timings.
