UK regional carrier Flybe has extended its agreement with UK-based Vistair to include its cloud-based SafeyNet safety reporting services.

The extended contract will now include Vistair's electronic manuals service, iPad service, and "Touch Notices" system.

The deal covers the carrier's entire fleet of 67 Bombardier Q400 and Embraer aircraft. Vistair's cloud-based services will replace in-house operations at Flybe.

Flybe director of flight operations Ian Baston said: "Recently, we have been evaluating the market for further electronic flight bag applications and our analysis of Vistair's other cloud-based services has convinced us that using combined developmental processes, these will improve our compliance and cut costs as we move towards the goal of a paperless cockpit for all our operations."
