Middle Eastern budget carrier FlyDubai has identified the initial destinations for business-class service it intends to offer from October.
FlyDubai's first route with the premium cabin will be its Kiev service, with the initial departure taking place on 8 October. It also plans to extend the service to Male, Istanbul, Mineralnye Vody and Bucharest in the same month.
The airline has also indicated that Donetsk, Bishkek and Juba are in line to have the premium option. Its business-class tickets, sales of which have started, offer priority check-in and a "generous" checked baggage allowance, says the airline.
"This moment also signifies the growth of our fleet and, with the arrival of our new business-class aircraft, we plan to add more business-class destinations to our network by the end of the year," says FlyDubai chief Ghaith Al Ghaith.
FlyDubai has taken delivery of the first aircraft fitted with business-class seats, which are more spacious than those in its regular cabin.
Its whole fleet will be retrofitted to include the premium cabins. FlyDubai operates 31 Boeing 737-800s and is building a fleet of 50.
