Middle Eastern budget carrier FlyDubai's has underscored its rapid growth through a cockpit crew recruitment deal with training and management specialist CTC Aviation Group.
The low-cost carrier has a requirement to recruit 140 pilots annually over the next three years, as it ramps up its fleet of Boeing 737-800s. It currently has nine, with a further 41 due to arrive over the next five or six years.
Having begun services just 18 months ago, FlyDubai serves 24 destinations. Recruitment under the new agreement got underway last month, says CTC.
CTC says it trains up to 1,900 aircrew for more than 50 airlines each year, with training centres in the UK and New Zealand.
