Dubai-based carrier Flydubai is finalising contracts with mandated parties for the financing of three Boeing 737-800s that are scheduled for delivery this year.
The budget carrier has a total of six deliveries this year and the first batch of aircraft are under a sale and leaseback transactions. Flydubai approached the market with a request for proposal in the second half of last year. The aircraft start delivering in April.
Later this month the carrier will issue another request for proposal as it seeks commercial bank debt proposals for the remaining three deliveries.
According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, Flydubai operates 29 737-800s and has another 23 on order.
