Project Phoenix of Dubai has officially signed a contract with Canadian completion centre Flying Colours for its first CRJ200 regional jet conversion, known as the CRJ Phoenix. The aircraft, s/n 7211, is now undergoing maintenance upgrades at Skyservice Aviation in Toronto, Ontario. Upon completion it will be delivered to Flying Colours in Peterborough, where its CRJ executive interior and auxiliary fuel system will be installed. The Flying Colours work will take 18,000 man hours, with a team of 18 technicians working on a CRJ200 at any one time, says Flying Colours.
