Fokker Services and Denim Air have jointly developed a new programme aimed at speeding the launch of services by new operators of out-of-production aircraft.

The "Take Off" programme is aimed at operators of Fokker 50, Fokker 100 and Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft. Denim Air provides aircraft, maintenance, crew and insurance (ACMI) or "wet lease" services, while Fokker Services handles logistics and technical support.

At a media briefing ahead of the ERA General Assembly in Interlaken, Switzerland, Fokker Services' vice president of marketing and sales Erik Goedhart said that Take Off could allow a carrier to put an aircraft into revenue service within six weeks, whereas it normally takes between six and 12 months, a delay the industry could not longer afford due to market conditions.
