Former Luxair chief Christian Heinzmann is taking over as the head of Romanian flag-carrier Tarom later this month.
Heinzmann will be under a four-year contract with the Bucharest-based airline, and begins work on 19 November, says the carrier.
His previous experience also includes heading Albanian Airlines and Bangladeshi operator GMG Airlines.
Tarom says it has selected Heinzmann particularly for his experience in developing an implementing restructuring strategies for national airlines.
The carrier has also named Michael Moriaty as deputy general manager, and will also assume the role of chief financial officer. His appointment is for one year from 12 November.
