Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines plans to launch two new non-stop routes from Colorado Springs to Orlando International and San Diego respectively later this year.
The two new routes will take the number of non-stop destinations served by Frontier from Colorado Springs to seven.
Frontier is beginning flights on four routes from Colorado Springs this weekend, and already operates to Denver from Colorado Springs.
"Colorado Springs in an important part of Frontier's network and the response we have seen from customers to the four new routes we start this weekend has led to our announcement of this new low fare service to Orlando and San Diego," says Daniel Shurz, Frontier's senior vice president, commercial.
Frontier, which will operate Airbus A319s on the new routes, will fly thrice weekly on the San Diego route from 18 September before flying four times weekly from 16 November. It will operate thrice weekly to Orlando from Colorado Springs from 15 November.
The airline will be the only airline operating on both routes, schedules in Innovata show.
