Frontier traffic down 29% in February

Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has reported a 29% decrease in passenger traffic in February compared to a year earlier.

Capacity declined by 33%, while passenger numbers fell by 27% to 730,000 during the month. The load factor rose four percentage points to 86%.

Mainline passenger traffic declined by 21% against a capacity decrease of 23%, while the load factor rose three percentage points to 87%. Passenger numbers fell by 13% to 687,000.

Regional traffic fell by 81% against a capacity decrease of 82%, which lead to load factor growth of one percentage point to 72% compared with a year earlier. Passenger numbers fell by 80% to 43,000.
