Frontier traffic down 9% in November

Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has reported a 9% decrease in passenger traffic in November compared to a year earlier.

Capacity declined by 9%, while passenger numbers fell by 12% to 1.02 million during the month. The load factor remains flat at 88%.

Mainline passenger traffic declined by 4% against a capacity decrease of 3%, while the load factor remains stable at 89%, during November. Passenger numbers fell by 6% to 845,000.

Regional traffic fell by 37% against a capacity decrease of 40%, which lead to load factor growth of four percentage points to 85% compared to a year earlier. Passenger numbers fell by 33% to 171,000.

On a year-to-date basis, consolidated traffic decreased 6%, while capacity was down 8%.

Passenger numbers decreased 11% to 12.2 million, as the load factor grew two percentage points to 88%.
